My Name is Paul Eckert, managing director here at the farm. I’m excited to share with you all that we’ve been doing, and introduce you to some of our beautiful animals. We have a real passion and commitment to what we do here. Our goal is not only to raise World-Class Bucks but to help share that love and passion for these amazing animals.

                                       Our Deer

All current bucks at BR2 WHITETAILS have been born and raised on the farm. The first son on the farm was our very own KING JAMES (292” @ 3) who has made his name known to the whitetail industry. This year he proved himself as a top sire throwing an impressive set of yearlings with the average in the 150’s and his largest son went 222” @ 1. The next top sire at BR2 WHITETAILS from the 2010 season was HALO, he grew a very impressive rack this year scoring 236” @ 2 with 8” drop-tines on both sides right at his G-2’s.  Our yearling crop was awesome this year with PRINCE leading the way scoring 222” @ 1, he is a KING JAMES/ Soaring Eagle son with a good mainframe. TAG was another impressive KING JAMES son scoring 174” @ 1 with a 6x7 mainframe. TAZ (164” @ 1) is a son out of our BR2 ESCALADE buck(202 @ 2 and is also the father to HALO) and a Barry Bonds daughter.


  * Keep your eyes on KING JAMES this year, he has many new sons that are looking to set the stage and to make him known as one of the best producing sires in the country.


                                              Our Philosophy

We start with great Does and through our AI process bring in top genetics to breed even greater Bucks. We are looking to develop what we call the classic “Trophy Plus” herd of deer. We spend countless hours planning our genetics and doing everything we can from bottle-feeding to providing the best foods available to insure the greatest possible results. This is a family business and we are quite proud of our ever expanding family of Blue Blood deer.

                                                Our Facility

The handling facility is 60‘x120’ and consists of in floor heat, running water, a cleaning room, walk in cooler, and a bathroom. The newest addition to our facility is the fawn pens. There are 18 pens that can hold up to three fawns each with ease. There are sliding doors that lead to a 10‘x10’ exterior pen for the fawns to stretch their legs. We currently have eighteen breeding pens throughout a sixty acre parcel, and are in the process of building a few more breeding pens.
